More tourists spend more money, less time in May
The number of inbound visitors in Malta grows by 1.3% in May, as compared to the corresponding month of 2018. Although the number spent nights drops by 3.6%, total expenditure increases by 3.3%.

The deficit of international trade in goods in Malta dropped to €199m in May 2019, compared to a deficit of €329.5m in May 2018.
Malta’s industrial production drops 4.9% in May
The working-day adjusted index of industrial production drops by 4.9% in May 2019, compared to the same month of the previous year. The index goes up 1.3% as compared to the preceding month, though.
